The Board of Trustees of the Trenčín 2026 project entrusted the project management to Stanislav Krajči, formerly Manager for Participation and Strategic Programmes. The reason for the change in the project management is the departure of the director Ján Sudzina, who resigned as the director of the Creative Institute Trenčín at the end of March due to health reasons.

The Creative Institute Trenčín is a non-profit organisation responsible for the implementation of the European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026. At the same time, the Board of Trustees is launching the preparation of a selection procedure for a new project director.
