The Within the Sound project connects art, ecology and the sounds of the world around us. This project, led by the ooo Association, will introduce a new experience and knowledge to people through focused listening and original sound interventions highlighting issues such as noise smog and biodiversity loss. For many, it will be a place of introduction to the field of acoustic ecology. It also disrupts the concept of what we historically consider to be a space designed and built for music and listening to it.
We are living in a time of the most diverse musical diversity to be experienced in our civilization. It is therefore understandable to ask whether we pay enough attention to these sounds and what they tell us about the world we live in.
