The project strive to bring this novel architectural concepts to the city of Trencin. We would like to introduce architectural and spatial projects / subjects of architectural and design research that reacts on the climate change challenges and builds on the more-than-a-human approach to public urban space.
Presented projects are (and will be in the future) selected to support the reflection of the urban space as the space for all – human and non human actors, fauna, flora, ecologies. The project will reflect the topic in the series of events, such as exhibitions, workshops, spatial instalations in public space and other activities. Presented projects will be relevant contemporary academic or independent designer research – combining on relevant local and broader european context. These will aim to re-define the local ecologies of public urban space. Interventions will address current issues of urban space, such as a lack of the greenery, over heating, water retention, the loss of biotopes and others.
