About the course
This is a training course that allows you to improve your individual skills and abilities in cultural management over five two-day blocks (Thursday to Friday). The course will help you to better navigate the topics of strategic planning, branding, audience development, teamwork and more. The course is one of the great opportunities that the European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026 brings now.
We have successfully completed four courses. Thanks to them, we have welcomed several foreign lecturers to Trenčín, such as the British cultural industry expert David Parrish, the director of the Polish Impact Foundation, Agata Etmanowicz, or Adam Pajgrt and Petr Peřinka from the Prague IPR Institute.

The programme is designed for people from culture (individuals) who want to learn new skills and network with each other. It is also open to interested persons who work outside the Trenčín region.

→ Leadership & Soft skills
What does it look like in practice?
The Runway | Culture Professionals course takes place in person in Trenčín and can accommodate up to 25 people. The course is also led by professionals from abroad, therefore English language skills are required.
The programme takes the form of 5 two-day blocks:
1st block / 26 September to 27 September 2024
2nd block / 24 October to 25 October 2024
3rd block / 7 November to 8 November 2024
4th block / 28 November to 29 November 2024
5th block / 12 December to 13 December 2024
The cost of a comparable course would be approximately €1,000. The Runway | Culture Professionals is free of charge, thanks to the Trenčín 2026 project, which covers 100% of the fee in the form of a scholarship. The course is therefore free of charge, but the participants are responsible for the rest of the costs, i.e. transport, food and possible accommodation.
