DOBROstretko

DOBROstretko is a regular event that connects volunteers and everyone interested in actively participating in shaping the community as part of the Trenčín 2026 volunteer program. The goal of the meeting is not only to present upcoming activities but also to provide a space for mutual inspiration, new opportunities, and strengthening the volunteer network.

Program

17:00 – 17:40 Upcoming volunteer activities, support opportunities for volunteers, and community support, announcement of the winning slogan.

17:40 – 18:00 Break & refreshments

18:00 – 18:30 Discussion with guests who work with communities and have experienced the changes brought by the European Capital of Culture title and volunteering.

18:30 – 19:00 Q&A session

Event Objectives

  • Presentation of upcoming volunteer activities – Participants will learn about available opportunities and how they can get involved.

  • Supporting personal and professional development of volunteers – Introduction of educational opportunities (e.g., English courses, coordination skills training) and support for their own initiatives.

  • Building a stronger volunteer community – Creating space for experience exchange, new connections, and collaboration.

  • Discussing the impact of volunteering on the city and its people – Through a discussion with guests, showcasing the changes brought by the European Capital of Culture title and volunteer activities.

  • Recognizing and motivating volunteers – Announcing the winner of the best volunteer slogan challenge and symbolically appreciating the creativity and dedication of volunteers.

Who will lead the meeting?

Stanislava Minárik Imrišková – Project Coordinator in the Trenčín 2026 team, focusing on volunteering.

Martin Daško – Chairman of the Youth Council of Prievidza and assistant at the Regional Youth Center in Trenčín.

Who Can You Look Forward To?

Matúš Binc – connects cultural actors, volunteers, and local initiatives while focusing on the development of cultural and community projects. In Košice, he is building a network of Výmenníky – spaces for amateur culture, community activities, and participatory art.

Blanka Berkyová – an expert in community development, social policy, and culture, dedicated to creating vibrant and sustainable communities. She gained experience with EHMK Košice 2013, where she linked local residents with cultural actors and volunteers.

Dominika Belanská – a social architect and artist who helps people discover new possibilities in public spaces. After returning to Upper Nitra, she has been involved in projects like Nové sídlisko and Rieka v nás, and in Trenčín, she co-curates the Generations Together program.

Martin Dani – director of K13 – Košice Cultural Centers, leading a team of experts in production, technical support, and marketing. He gained experience in community work as a production manager at Art Film Fest Košice and believes that culture and volunteering are essential parts of strong communities.

The Trenčín 2026 project is financially supported by the City of Trenčín, the Trenčín Self-Governing Region, and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. The project partner is the European Union.
