DOBROstretko is a regular event that connects volunteers and everyone interested in actively participating in shaping the community as part of the Trenčín 2026 volunteer program. The goal of the meeting is not only to present upcoming activities but also to provide a space for mutual inspiration, new opportunities, and strengthening the volunteer network.

18:00 – 18:30 Discussion with guests who work with communities and have experienced the changes brought by the European Capital of Culture title and volunteering.

Event Objectives

Presentation of upcoming volunteer activities – Participants will learn about available opportunities and how they can get involved.

Supporting personal and professional development of volunteers – Introduction of educational opportunities (e.g., English courses, coordination skills training) and support for their own initiatives.

Discussing the impact of volunteering on the city and its people – Through a discussion with guests, showcasing the changes brought by the European Capital of Culture title and volunteer activities.

Recognizing and motivating volunteers – Announcing the winner of the best volunteer slogan challenge and symbolically appreciating the creativity and dedication of volunteers.
Who will lead the meeting?
Stanislava Minárik Imrišková – Project Coordinator in the Trenčín 2026 team, focusing on volunteering.
Martin Daško – Chairman of the Youth Council of Prievidza and assistant at the Regional Youth Center in Trenčín.
The Trenčín 2026 project is financially supported by the City of Trenčín, the Trenčín Self-Governing Region, and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. The project partner is the European Union.
